Similasan Corporation was founded in 1987 with the introduction of Dry Eye Relief eye drops (formerly known as Eye Drops #1), which are hugely popular in Switzerland. Where it all started

Similasan AG in Jonen, Switzerland was founded by Swiss druggist Armin Spaeni from a line of combination homeopathic remedies that he created for his retail store. After realizing the success that his remedies had in treating his patients’ ailments, Spaeni, along with two friends, founded Similasan AG in Jonen, Switzerland in 1980 to enable them to manufacture larger quantities of remedies for their rapidly growing customer base. Similasan quickly became one of the best selling brands in Swiss drugstores. where it remains as a top seller of over- the- counter remedies.
