Aloe Vera GelAloe gel might cause changes in the skin that might help diseases like psoriasis.
GlycerinPromotes Skin Cell Maturation
Polysorbate-60Polysorbate 60 is a thickening agent and oily liquid used in cosmetics and skin care formulas “to dissolve in a solvent in which they would not normally dissolve. They also help to form emulsions by reducing the surface tension of the substances to be emulsified,” according to CosmeticsInfo.org. Polysorbate 60 is a surfactant created by reacting sorbitol with ethylene oxide and fatty acids obtained from vegetable fats and oils. It is used to disperse oil in water in formulas, and seen in a wide variety of products, including skin fresheners, skin care products, skin cleansing products, makeup bases and foundations, shampoos, and fragrance powders.
Cetearyl AlcoholIt is used as an emulsion stabilizer, opacifying agent, and foam boosting surfactant, as well as an aqueous and nonaqueous viscosity-increasing agent. It imparts an emollient feel to the skin and can be used in water-in-oil emulsions, oil-in-water emulsions, and anhydrous formulations. It is commonly used in hair conditioners and other hair products.
Sunflower OilThe combination of fatty acids in the body are extremely important to maintain various elements of human health, and sunflower oil can help maintain that balance.
Glyceryl MonolaurateMonolaurin is most commonly used as a surfactant in cosmetics, such as deodorants. As a food additive it is also used as an emulsifier or preservative. Monolaurin is also taken as a dietary supplement.
Ethyl Hexyl PalmitateUsed in cosmetic formulations as a solvent, carrying agent, pigment wetting agent, fragrance fixative and emollient
PanthenolPanthenol is a form of Vitamin B5(Pantothenic Acid), used as a moisturizer and lubricating compound.
Soluble CollagenDue to its functional diversity, the fact that it is resorbable and occurs naturally, collagen has several different medical uses and can be utilized with a variety of medical devices.
Tocopherol AcetateIt is used in a variety of cosmetic and personal care products, including lipstick, eye shadow, blushers, face powders and foundations, moisturizers, skin care products, bath soaps and detergents, and hair conditioners.
Mixed TocopherolsMixed tocopherols are used in nutritional supplements.
Flax Seed OilFlaxseed oil contains high levels of omega 3 fatty acids known as alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). However, flaxseed oil does not contain the omega 3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). EPA and DHA are commonly found in oily fishes such as salmon, mackerel and fish oil supplements. It is known that alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) can be converted to eicosapentaenoic (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) although it is not known how efficient the conversion is. This conversion requires the enzyme delta-6-desaturase (D6D). It is known that the amount converted is different in men and women and is also affected by the individuals diet.
Borage OilBorage seed oil contains a fatty acid called gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). GLA seems to have anti-inflammatory effects. Borage flower might have an antioxidant effect.
Rosehip OilSome people use rose hip as a source of vitamin C. It is true that fresh rose hip contains vitamin C. But processing and drying of the plant destroys most of the vitamin C.
DMAEUsed for preventing aging or liver spots, improving red blood cell function, and extending life span.
Hazel ExtractWitch hazel contains Safrole as part of the list of active constituents and Safrole is a known carcinogen, however it seems Witch hazel doesn’t contain enough quantities of safrole to suppose a health hazard.
Olive SqualaneSqualane as a Moisturizer
Soy LecithinSoy Lecithin, or lecithin, is commonly used to hold emulsions together. Lecithin is a very common ingredient in packaged foods because it is such a great emulsifier and stabilizer. It’s also the main reason egg yolks work so well to stabilize mayonnaise, aiolis, and sauces like Hollandaise. In modernist cooking it is often used to hold vinaigrettes together, create light foams and airs, and add elasticity and moisture tolerance to doughs
Green Tree ExtractThe useful parts of green tea are the leaf bud, leaf, and stem. Green tea is not fermented and is produced by steaming fresh leaves at high temperatures. During this process, it is able to maintain important molecules called polyphenols, which seem to be responsible for many of the benefits of green tea.
Sweet Almond OilHelps Moisturize and Reduce the Appearance of Wrinkles
AllantoinThis medication is used as a moisturizer to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations (e.g., diaper rash, skin burns from radiation therapy). Emollients are substances that soften and moisturize the skin and decrease itching and flaking. Some products (e.g., zinc oxide, white petrolatum) are used mostly to protect the skin against irritation (e.g., from wetness).
Cocoa ButterGreat antioxidant source: Cocoa butter is a great source of antioxidants, which help combat free radicals and help save your skin from the inevitable signs of aging and environmental stressors. You can use lotion, cream, or oil form, or even eat raw cocoa butter. Everything depends on your choice and preferences. Just be aware, cocoa butter is high in calories.
Glyceryl StearateChemically, Glyceryl Stearate is used to stabilize products, decrease water evaporation, make products freeze-resistant, and keep them from forming surface crusts. Glyceryl Stearate reduces the greasiness of oils used in certain cosmetics and personal care products, according to CosmeticsInfo.org.
DimethiconeDimethicone and related ingredients are used in the formulation of a wide range of cosmetic and personal care products including cosmetic creams and lotions, bath soaps, shampoo and hair care products.
PhenoxyethanolPhenoxyethanol is chemical preservative which is used in many applications such as cosmetics, vaccines and pharmaceuticals.
